Welcome to Greybeard's Workshop

I’m John Ruppe, founder of Greybeard’s Workshop.

I spent over a decade in the custom kitchen cabinet industry, where I learned the value of patience, precision, and doing things right the first time. Over time, I began taking on smaller projects—initially as gifts, then by request.

Greybeard’s Workshop grew naturally from that work. Nothing elaborate—just time in the shop, good materials, and a steady approach.

When I’m not at my day job, I’m usually in the shop working on what’s next. I’m drawn to pieces that feel solid and purposeful—meant to be used, shared, or kept for years.

I don’t rush projects or cut corners. Everything is built by hand in the U.S.A., using good wood, good tools, and a patient process.
