Hi, I’m John Ruppe. The guy on the left.

The one that started Greybeard’s Workshop.

I spent over a decade in the custom kitchen cabinet industry. I Learned a lot over the years — mostly how to take my time and do things right. Along the way, I started messing around with little projects of my own. Cutting boards, signs, things like that. I made a few gifts for family and friends, and before long, people started asking if I could make one for them too.

That’s pretty much how Greybeard’s Workshop got started. Nothing fancy — just me in the shop, making stuff I enjoy.

These days, if I’m not at work, I’m probably out here working on whatever’s next. I like building things that feel solid — something you can use, give, or hang onto for a while.

I don’t cut corners, and I don’t rush. I just try to make things the way they ought to be made — good wood, good tools, and a bit of patience. Everything’s built by hand, right here in the U.S.A.
